The Purl

By way of explanation for those unfamiliar with this use of the term: definition of ”purl” =

”eddy, swirl of water, crochet stitch”, as you see here

The purl of the river babbled around her
As the purl of her hand knit sweater unraveled

Similar to the unraveling her life started
Those many years ago when her life traveled

The first broke the foundation of the marriage
With the litany of his disparage

Of the the lust in his heart, which first?
When he gave in or was it the thirst??

Who is to say? It says, ”to lust in your heart is
The same sin as to commit the sin” his

I wonder, has he learned the lessson, too?
For his life turned into a zoo.

The purl in the sweater that unraveled
Was the last purl she ever raveled

She put up her yarns and needles
And traded them for bugs and Beatles.

Something she had no interest in before
As she listened to hymns, it was no chore.

Worship of the God they had sworn to speak of
For the rest of their lives, broke, the 2nd vow of love

Now he’s gone – she’s gone
And the children didn’t keep

They fell apart in their own way
One up, one down, I wonder, do They sleep?

And this last Mother’s day once more
Was spent alone, no calls, such a bore.

Unrequited sleep, despite the efforts of the second
Who tried his best me to beckon

From a sleep begun, never to be undone,
For sleep, when gotten, covers the shun.

Thank you for reading. THere are some attention getting lines and deadlines in this article. Very observant of you to notice them. This entire blog is autobiographical and, just so you know, it is my own rule and personal reality, that my own poetry is absolutely true to my life, whether or not it applies to other, they will have to decide. I will, because you have shown interest, post more to follow up on this one. Thank you for your comments. :)

  7. Would you mind if I placed this piece of content on my website? I would certainly give you credit and a link back to your site. Thanks, and if possible let me know here, or email me!

I would be thrilled for you to place this post on you site, with a link back to this site. Don’t know if you know, but every time you put a link back, both sites rise higher in the google analytic charts. So, for anyone reading, please, by all means, place all the link backs you would like. If anyone does not know how to place a link back, just ask and I will be glad to teach you. One of the many things I do do is teach. Teaching is something I thoroughly enjoy and have been doing almost all of my life on a small class, and/or individual level. If several of you would like to get together, I’d be happy to arrange a small Webinar just for my readers, where you can ask anything you would like, and assuming I know the answer, i’ll teach you, If I don’t, I’ll find it. One of the hallmarks of my teaching is this: “There is no such things as a stupid questions, all questions deserve answers. And, the sigh of an inquisitive intelligent mind is the willingness to ASK to question and success is measured when you know how to find the answers.” A mouthful I know, but if you break it down, you will see what I’m communicating.
      1. Questions are good
      2. Intelligence is asking the question.
      3. Success is knowing where to find the answer (even if that place is here. :) )

  8. Hello, is your hosting company having any difficulties lately? I had to refresh the site about 5 times till the 404 error went away and I was able to read this post!

    • anightowl says:

That is a very good question, and I will ask them. May I ask you which link you are using to find this site? THere are three links that are forwarded to this one, one comes from a different hosting company than the one who is actually doing the hosting. If they are having problems, I really need to know about it. Thank you for the heads up, and I will check on it. Abbey

I wish I knew more about Medical Billing and Coding, but I’m sorry, that is not something I’m at all familiar with. Try searching one of the major search engines, and good luck.

    • anightowl says:

Please let me know if the change in format corrected the feed problem. There is a post with all of the feed addresses under the category “blog”. I’d appreciate knowing.

With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.

  14. test1234 says:
